Everything Everywhere All At Once received 11 nominations and 7 awards at the Oscars. This movie tells the story of an unlikely hero, played by Michelle Yeoh, trying to solve a rupture in a world unlike her own, the multiverse. We follow her as she unravels the secrets of the multiverse, discovers her newfound powers, and has to decide the universe's fate. This movie is a sci-fi comedy, as well as action, but it also touches on sad and endearing topics.


This movie won best picture against All Quiet on the Western Front, Avatar: The Way of Water, The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, The Fabelmans, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness, and Women Talking. It also won the best original screenplay against The Fabelmans, Tár, Triangle of Sadness, and The Banshees of Inisherin.


Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan won the best supporting role against actors from The Banshees of Inisherin and The Whale.


Michele Yeoh won best actress in a leading role against Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Andrea Riseborough, and Michelle Williams.






The Whale



The Whale received 3 nominations and 2 awards. In this movie, we follow a “morbidly obese” English teacher who tries to reconnect with his teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption. It won Best Original Score against Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and The Fabelmans.
